I find self care to be immensely important to operate from a place of overflow rather than an empty tank. 10 Things You Can Do NOW to Give Your Mind a Break
(from the everyday tasks that often lead to an abundance of stress)
1. Breathe (take at least 7-14 deep breaths)
2. Listen to Relaxing Music
3. Meditate (can last anything from 1 minute to an hour)
4. Write a Letter (to yourself or someone else)
5. Watch the Clouds (lose yourself, gazing in the distance)
6. Color (adult Coloring books are great for this one)
7. Dance to Upbeat Music (think: 24K Magic by Bruno Mars)
8. Read or Watch Something Funny
9. Move Twice as Slowly (get out of the habit of rushing)
10. Eat a Meal in Silence (without even your phone)
I hope these tips help! Whatever it takes to take your mind off of obligations, work and stress I suggest that you do it and try something different every once in a while to mix it up. You never know what might stick.
