Last week and weekend had to be one of the most amazing, uplifting, and fulfilling weeks I’ve had in a while. Not only was it a great week, it rolled over into a great weekend as well. Overall, I was glad to have had some great work days and to feel like I had some balance in my life for the first time in a while. Each day was full of excitement and enlightenment.
On Monday, I had the opportunity to meet up with a dear friend and mentee of mine, Ashley, after failing to catch up with each other for months! (It happens when you’re busy working people trying to do everything).
I was also blessed with the opportunity to have lunch with my best friend in the whole wide world, Francesca Ellana, who was in town from Los Angeles, CA! Let me just say. We have that type of unconditional friendship where we can go months without chatting and we always pick up where we leave off. However, I’d also like to say that it’s always sad to leave her or see her leave because there never seems to be enough time to catch up on all of what we have going on in our respective lives, being so far apart. However, we always make it work the best we can.
I also got some brand/business stuff taken care of, along with spending time outside of the house, meeting with friends, connecting with new friends (some of which will be future business partners), and it was all rounded out with an amazing business conference!
I had the honor of being a part of the staff that helped put on and run the 4th Annual Release the Chains Life Class Experience in Falls, Church, VA!
This conference was EVERYTHING and I knew that it would be great, considering it was my 3rd time attending. In the past I had attended as a woman who had chains and dreams to release and breakthroughs to occur. This year I was in attendance as a part of the team that helped behind the scenes. It was an honor to see what it takes to run an event of this caliber and to serve my business coach and the guests.
The host, Ari Squires, who also happens to be my business coach, really went above and beyond to serve everyone who made the decision to invest in themselves. It was a room that was a blessing to be in. It was amazing to have the opportunity to connect with my “mentor in my head, ” Mr. Paul Carrick Brunson (pictured with me below), the other business men and women who were in attendance, and the other members of the staff/team who were just as eager to serve as they were to learn.
And to top it off, I had the pleasure to grace the stage with my other sisters in business. That gave me the opportunity to share my experience in working with Ari’s PUSH Mastermind group and share how she and the group have helped me find focus in my brand and reach for dreams that I never knew that I had.
When I started working with the Mastermind group I only knew that I wanted to run a blog, but I had no idea how I could expand that idea into a business with several streams of income/products to go along with the blog. Since I began to work with Ari, I’ve been able to specify my audience, simplify my “why” and hone in on the fact that my purpose is to help women find peace and healing so they can stop making the same mistakes through my online products, services, mentoring, etc.
I’ve mentioned this before, on my Facebook page, but I never get tired of praising this woman for her vision, implementation and the gift and ability to push and encourage others. From the moment that I met Ari, I knew I felt a connection to her spirit and I knew that she had the expertise and experience to help me in finding clarity and focus. She has done just that and has opened so many doors of opportunity that I can only imagine will continue to push me far. I’m forever grateful.
Now… You may be wondering to yourself, “Well, how did you actually make this weekend phenomenal?”
Truth be told, there is only one answer: I made the decision that it would be.
Instead of staying home because I was tired, I decided to go out or make a detour on my way home from work. When we show up for life, take ahold of the opportunities that present themselves, and think positively along the way despite any challenges that may come, you can have a phenomenal week too. Will every week be this way? No. But when you remember that you have the power to make the week, day, month, year, century the best it can be, you can come pretty close.
Hope you have a phenomenal week!
